Yes, completely. The pad uses a clean-touch ink that transfers a clear print without any mess, staining, or residue left on your pet's paw. It's safe for cats, dogs, and other small animals.
The kit works best for small to medium paws — ideal for cats and small to medium dogs. For very large breeds, we recommend working in sections or pressing gently to capture the full pad.
Press the paw firmly and evenly onto the black pad for 2–3 seconds, then transfer straight to the white card. Make sure your pet is calm and still — having a treat nearby helps!
Absolutely. Once you have the impression on the white card, you can write your pet's name and the date directly on it with a fine-tip pen. Many customers take it to a local print shop or framer to add custom text.
The impression is permanent once transferred to the card. Kept out of direct sunlight, it will last for many years.
Each kit is designed for one use. If you have multiple pets, we recommend ordering one kit per pet — that way each one gets their own keepsake card.
